It is still a bit scary to shoot whenever I see guards or marshals. Because despite the "BGC is photo friendly" rule, there are still limitations and you can never know if you are in a prohibited zone or prohibited activity.
But interestingly enough, while walking around and looking for good spots, we saw portrait sessions even with guards around. Earlier in the afternoon, there is one guy shooting two cosplayers. A little later in the evening, at the park where I shot this photo, there were few photographers shooting (I presume) long exposures too. And there was this group of around four photogs with a pretty model wrapped in a winter attire, and they used handheld LED lights to illuminate her.
BGC is quite a huge place with interesting scenes and a number of public parks or green spaces where, I think, you can shoot. Still with some limitations, of course. But it is good to know that photography is now allowed in this beautiful place where you can shoot picturesque cityscapes without the annoying electric wires and posts blocking your view. We will definitely go back and explore the other parts of this huge place, and hopefully BGC will still remain photo-friendly.
