So what I did was I scanned a copy of the book cover so I would have a guide on the placement of text in relation to he background and the proportions of the different elements, as well. After recreating the design in Photoshop, I mixed and matched colors until I came up with studies from which the management of PIDS would select from.
On March 2013, we were able to publish the 2012 Budget Analysis, with new color combinations. And also on the same December of the same year, we were able to release the 2013 Budget Analysis, again with a new set of colors for the cover. It was fun doing the book cover. But sadly, the primary author did not sustain the series and I think the management was okay with doing away with it. PIDS published only two relatively new issues of this book series. I was listed as production coordinator in both but I was the one who made the cover design.
